I am FINALLY done with the second greyhound from the series of four! What with school work and all I've been extremely busy, and, ironically, it's been during finals week that I've finally found the time to sit down and get it done. I'm pretty happy with how this one came out, I think the expression matches the pictures quite well. I'm especially glad it came out all right because this is the most mix and matching I've done for one picture...the head and the body were taken from two completely different photographs. Hopefully it doesn't look too weird... I think the front leg is a little small, but I'm not too concerned about it. And HEY there's something that can be called a background here!! Zomg!! Granted it's not very detailed (that's on purpose), but I think it's enough to ground him a little more than the last picture I did.

And yes, Patsy has a mohawk. :3

This was all done in mechanical pencil, 8x10 inch paper.

This turned out wonderfully. I'd be very surprised if the client weren't thrilled with it. The soft expression is just beautiful. There's just so much character in this piece. Great work. :)

The muscles are beautifully drawn, as are the paws! <3

Although, one thing is bothering me right now... Its right ear... Should it rise like that? It's probably just me, but it's kinda bothering me. Don't know much about greyhounds, though... =/

Greyhounds have funky ears, some of them are at half perk, some are all the way pricked up like that, and some of them can be up or down depending on the dog's mood. The owner of this dog specifically requested the one ear up look because that is Patsy's characteristic expression when he's intent on something - that one ear flops all the way up like that! :)
