I recently got back from a trip to Kaua'i, Hawai'i. While we were there we met some wonderful people who took time from their daily lives to give us some great tours of some extra beautiful areas of the island that we otherwise would never have seen. As a thank you gift, my dad commissioned me to do this potrait of their sweet dog, Pua, a yellow Labrador Retriever. The original is 9x12 in and done in colored pencil (though the background is pastel). I had a ton of fun doing this one. It's based off a picture of Pua that I took while I was there.
