Madre

*Finally* done with this...my poor philosophy teacher's been waiting since the beginning of fall. It's a portrait of his beautiful and beloved chocolate lab, Madre, done completely in colored pencil except for the background which is a light watercolor wash. The color is *slightly* off - in real life the background is a bit more of a periwinkle. But anyway, though there are some parts to this that I'm not overly fond of, I think overall it's all right. Not my best, but not my worst. It looks better in real life methinks. Sorry if the lights/shadows are a teency bit off - I completely changed the light source from the one in the photo (taken with a flash) which is something I've never done before, so give me a lil' leeway here
